Hennepin Healthcare Department of Pediatrics invites qualified applicants for the position of Neonatology (NICU) Medical Director. This full-time position offers a competitive salary, full package of employee benefits and retirement program. This opportunity is available Summer of 2023.
SUMMARY
The position includes patient care responsibilities in our state of the art, 21-bed Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Our NICU is located within a large Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, Burn Center and safety net hospital in downtown Minneapolis, with a mission to provide exceptional care without exception. Additional inpatient units include the OB/FM/CNM birth units, pediatric ICU, and pediatric medical/surgical wards. We provide expert multi-disciplinary care to our newborn patients with life-threatening, complex medical conditions, and support a patient/family-centered culture. We seek an individual to become a team member within our small, professional, and dedicated staff of pediatric neonatologists, an amazing group of neonatal nurse practitioners, supported by an experienced and knowledgeable group of nursing professionals and additional sub-specialties. The department of pediatrics faculty includes hospitalists, pediatric intensivists, primary care physicians, infectious disease, pulmonary, and neurology subspecialists, in addition to surgical, rehab, and pediatric child life staff.

REQUIREMENTS
- License to practice Medicine in the state of Minnesota (or eligibility)
- Board certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- 5+ years of experience as a neonatologist (including 3+ years of leadership experience in the field of neonatology)
- Experience training and educating pediatric residents and fellows; demonstrated academic scholarship
